Isaac Sullivan is an American interdisciplinary artist negotiating the aesthetics of the generic through a project-based, multimedia practice. In his work with sound, he employs text-to-speech software, virtual analog synthesis, and field recordings that suggest globalization or a modularity of place. The artist has been included in exhibitions at Tashkeel, Dubai; Whitdel Arts, Detroit; and the Figge Museum, Davenport, IA, among others. He has been featured in various publications including 1913: A Journal of Forms, Drunken Boat, and Quarterly West. Sullivan holds an MFA in Art from the University of Iowa, an MFA in English from the Iowa Writers' Workshop, and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
